Pillow Logo and Packaging
The Problem.
After selecting a word that held a lot of meaning for me, I was tasked with designing a "type slice" of that word, combining and morphing a variety of fonts and an image. Ultimately, I was to create a logo for my selected product (pillows) and design its packaging.
The Process.
My three initial designs were playful and lighthearted to signifying the concept of 'light.' I played with the balance of thin and thick fonts in my designs.
The Solution.
My final logo solution incorporated a feather and an accompanying fine text to evoke lightness. The packaging incorporated a unique pattern on the sides of each level of firmness that reflects the qualities of each of the three weights—Soft Sophie, Medium Maya, and Firm Faye.
